James P Matheny Sr

James P. Matheny, Sr., 62, of Lenhartsville, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Kathryn P. “Kathy” (Moyer) Matheny. They were married September 1982.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he was a son of the late James P. and Betty Jean Matheny. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran. James was the owner and operator of Town and County Crafters, Maxatawny, for many years. He was the president of the Christman Lake Association, Lenhartsville. James enjoyed motorcycles, boating and fishing.

He is survived by Wife, Son, James P., Jr., husband of Kathy J. (Turner) Matheny, Kutztown; 4 Grandchildren, James S. and Brittany K. Matheny, Lauren A. McCall, Zachary D. Turner, and 3 Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie M. McCall, Camryn A. Smith, Emma C. Smith.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
