James J Travitzky

James J. Travitzky, 53, of Norristown, died suddenly on Thursday, June 5, 2014 as a result of a motorcycle accident in East Norriton.

Born in Norristown, He was a son of Thomas and Mary Ann (Gleason) Travitzky of Audubon. James attended Norristown Area High School. He was an avid skydiver, B.A.S.E. jumper, and motorcycle enthusiast. Jim was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by Parents; Daughters, Nicole Marie Travitzky, Stowe, Montgomery Co., Amber Alyse (Travitzky), wife of Greg A. Patton, Exeter Township, Berks Co.; Grandson, Chase A. Patton; Sisters, Catherine  (Travitzky), wife of Keith Betham, Audubon, Virginia  (Travitzky), wife of Andrew McBride, Grand Junction, CO.; Brothers, Thomas Travitzky, spouse of Nigel Hartley, London, England, Paul Travitzky, husband of Teresa Martinez - Travitzky, Wetumpka, AL, and Michael, husband of Deborah Travitzky, Norristown. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Deborah Hoff, Norristown; former companion and friend, Wendy Byerley, Norristown; and her son, William Dzugan, Perkiomenville, Montgomery Co .

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Saint Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church, 1260 S. Trooper Road, Norristown, with Reverend Laurence J. Gleason and Reverend J. Jerome Wild, celebrants. Inurnment will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Norristown. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 AM in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the James J. Travitzky Memorial Fund c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 292, Kutztown, PA  19530-0292. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
