James H Brennan

James H. “Jim” Brennan, 67, of Kutztown, died on Friday, September 30, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the loving husband of Carol J. (Barnstorf) Brennan, whom he married on December 2, 1985.

Born in High Bridge, NJ, James was a son of the late James and Peggy (Hill) Brennan. He was a graduate of High Bridge High School and was active in the High Bridge Rescue Squad, Civil Defense and other civic organizations. Jim coached little league and women's softball. He held positions at Central Railroad of New Jersey, High Bridge Police Department, and was a Security Guard at Somerset County College, a Supervisor at Prairie Meadows Race Track in Altoona, IA, and Kids Peace in Orefield, PA. Jim's love of music permeated his life and he became an accomplished drummer, playing in many bands throughout the years.

In addition to his Wife of 30 years, Carol, Jim is survived by a Sister, Agnese (Ziggy) Schwartz, Washington, NJ; a Brother, Greg Brennan, Moneta, VA, Aunt and Uncle, Pat and John Heffernen, Lebanon, PA; Cousin, Suzanne Loftus, Hartford, CT; 3 Nephews and numerous Great Nephews and Nieces. He is also survived by his 2 feline companions, Half Pint and Puff Daddy.

Jim did not wish to have a viewing, nor a funeral service. He preferred to think of his memorial service as a celebration of his life. The family will host an Irish wake on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at DeMarco's Italian Restaurant, 10240 Old Route 22, New Smithville, PA. Wings, pizza and spirits will be served. Please come as you are.
