James G Moyer

James G. Moyer, age 78, of 126 West Second Street, Alburtis PA, died Tuesday, February 13, 2001 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the Husband of Marie A. (Long) Moyer. The couple celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary this past June.

Born in Macungie PA, he was the Son of the late Walter H. and Lillie (Snyder) Moyer. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was a Member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Alburtis PA. He was a Member and past Board Member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club. He worked in Maintenance at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Pottstown PA for 15 years and for 5 years at the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton PA before retiring in 1984.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters, Judy A. Schleicher of Alburtis PA, Kathy J. Seaman of Zionsville PA, Jo Y. Bednar of Alburtis PA and Jane E. Messick of Alburtis PA; Sisters, Faye Betty Oels of Alburtis PA, Fern D. Landis of Alburtis PA, Joan E. Moyer of Scotsdale AZ and Connie L. Bauer of Alburtis PA; 7 Grandchildren and 3 Step Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 17th at 10:30 am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Penn Avenue and Quarry Road, Alburtis PA 18011. There will be no calling hours.
