James D Burfete

James D. “Dennis” Burfete, 71, of Fleetwood, died August 12, 2014, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the husband of SAT Pouv Burfete, they were married November 20, 1999.

Born in Muskogee, OK, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy Burfete. Dennis was a member of Blandon Mennonite Fellowship, Blandon, and was a graduate of Boyertown High School. He worked as a technician in the Tire Division of Ford Motor Company over 20 years.  Dennis participated in many short-term mission trips to the continent of Asia, visiting the countries of  Laos, Thailand, Burma and spent two years in Cambodia where he met his wife, Pouv.

She is survived by Wife; Daughter, Socheatha R. Burfete, at home. Other survivors include a Brother, David Burfete, Boyertown.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM from Blandon Mennonite Fellowship, 415 Chestnut Street, Blandon with Deacon L. David Eberly, Pastor H. Larry Graber and Pastor Byron D. Wolfer officiating. Interment in Myerstown Mennonite Church Cemetery, Myerstown. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.
