Jacob A. Kutz, 81, of E. Walnut Street, Kutztown, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004, in the Mount Zion Lutheran Church parking lot, Greenwich Township. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Sittler) Kutz.
Born in Richmond Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Edwin J. and Sue S. (Heffner) Kutz. A member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he was a carpenter in the truss manufacturing department of Berks Products Millwork Division, Kutztown, for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. He was a member of Kutztown Fire Company No. 1.
He is survived by Daughters, Carol A. Gehret of Alburtis, Jane L. Kring of Reading; Sisters, Helen A. Yoh of Wernersville, Berks County, Laura M. Wiltrout of Topton, Grace I. Seidel of Hamburg, Mildred M. Levan of Dryville, Berks County, Margaret E. George of Fleetwood; 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Granddaughters.
Funeral services are Monday, January 12, 2004, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The family requests contributions be made to Saint John’s United Church of Christ, Memorial Fund, 257 West Walnut Street, Kutztown, 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
