Irene J Wasser

Irene J. Wasser, 96, of Phoebe Home, Allentown formerly of Lyon Station, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 in the Phoebe Home. She was the widow of Harlan K. Wasser who died in 1980.

Born in Lynn Township, Lehigh Co., she was a daughter of the late Clinton E. and Katie C. (Rauch) Fenstermaker. She was a former member of Grace E. C. Church, Kutztown. She and her husband owned and operated the former Lyons Grocery Store, Lyon Station. She also worked at the former Leininger Knitting Mill. Mrs. Wasser was a member of Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a Cousin, Dorothy M. (Fenstermaker) Arndt, Germansville. In addition, there are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Brothers, Stanley P. and William C. Fenstermaker.

Funeral Services are Friday, December 30, 2011, 10:30 AM in Moyer Hall at Phoebe Home, 1925 Turner Street, Allentown. Interment in Lyons Cemetery, Maxatawny Township. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Moyer Hall.
