Irene E Hoppes

Irene E. Hoppes, 100, formerly of Topton, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Berks Heim, Bern Township. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Hoppes who died on March 7, 1998.

Born in Hereford Township, Berks County she was a daughter of the late Howard E. and Sallie (Bachman) Gery. She was a member of St. Peter’s UCC Church, Topton. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by Daughters, Jeannette E.(Hoppes) wife of Richard D. Nyman, Shirley R.(Hoppes) widow of Donald L. Moyer, and companion of Michael Perles, both of Boyertown, Nancy L. (Hoppes) wife of Raymond I. Moyer, Jr., Bowers; Son, Richard P. husband of Virginia F. (Starling) Hoppes, Boyertown; 13 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Sisters, Kathryn R. (Gery) Schoch, Dorothy (Gery) Moyer, Marie (Gery) Reiss and Brother, George Gery.

Funeral Services are Monday, February 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
