Ida H Gehringer

Ida A. (Keiser) Gehringer, 98, of Topton, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Charles W. Gehringer who died December 13, 1980.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Cora (Reinert) Keiser. Mrs. Gehringer was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown. She was employed as a packer and folder by the former Royal Manufacturing Co., Alburtis, for over 20 years, retiring in 1978. She was a life member of the Topton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Topton.

She is survived by Son, William C. husband of Patricia J. (Lenhart) Gehringer, Fleetwood; Sister, Pauline (Keiser) widow of James DeLong, Mertztown. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Mark W. husband of Carolyn D. (Dillingham) Gehringer and Marcy L. (Gehringer) wife of Christopher M. Klopp, and Great Grandchildren, Courtney A. and Riley E. Gehringer, and Emily J. Klopp. She was pre deceased by Sisters, Leona Deisher, Mabel Dries, Marie Miller, Lillian Seidel, and Brothers, Paul Keiser, Harold Keiser, and Lee Keiser.

Funeral Services are Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Ziegel’s Church Union Cemetery, Breinigsville. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Longswamp U.C.C. Memorial Fund, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, PA 19539. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
