Howard W Moyer

Howard W. Moyer, 91, a resident of Kutztown Manor, Inc., and a former resident of Evans Retirement Center, and Mertztown, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Kutztown Manor, Kutztown. He was the widower of Kathleen F. (Hoffmaster) Moyer, who died November 16, 1995.

Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Edwin and Margaret (Geisler) Moyer.  Mr. Moyer was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II.  He was employed as a laborer at the former Boyertown Casket Company, Boyertown for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.

He is survived by Daughter, Margaret (Moyer) Barto, Mertztown; 3 Grandsons, Patrick Moyer, Wayne Moyer and Jarrod Barto; and 4 Great Grandchildren, Abigail, Sierra, Jonathan and Alexis. His Son, Terry A. Moyer, also a resident of Kutztown Manor, Inc., passed away later on Thursday.

Joint funeral services for Howard, and his son, Terry will be private. Interment, with military honors, will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
