Holden R. Miller-Schaeffer

Holden R. Miller-Schaeffer, 30, of Kutztown, PA, and Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Yunjin Jo, whom he married on March 14, 2020.

Born in Reading, PA, Holden was a son of Phillip C. Schaeffer, husband of Cynthia (Rossi) Schaeffer, of Hellertown, and Julie L. Miller, of Kutztown. Holden is also survived by his two siblings, Kaley J. Miller-Schaeffer, wife of Bryn W. Worthington, West Chester, and Hayden A. Miller-Schaeffer, Kutztown; maternal grandparents, Lester C. and Faye E. (Schappell) Miller, Kutztown; paternal grandmother, Dorothea L. (Lee) Schaeffer, Kutztown, widow of predeceased grandfather, The Honorable Judge Forrest G. Schaeffer Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Holden was a 2012 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, 2018, graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, where he received his bachelor’s degree in international business, and a 2022, graduate of The University of Michigan, where he received his master’s degree in applied data science. He was employed as a Senior Data Analyst by the software company, Zywave, Inc., for four years.

Holden was a talented and passionate musician and loved to play his various instruments including the bass, violin, guitar, mandolin, ukelele, banjo, drums, and electronic music. He was a world traveler and visited over 15 countries. He loved to learn new languages including Spanish and Korean. Holden loved his cats, Coco and Momo. He also enjoyed to play video games and was a fan of F1 and UFC.

Holden was a devoted son, loving spouse, and cherished brother who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn the loss of Holden, we take solace in the memories he leaves behind and the impact he made on our lives. His spirit will forever live on in the lives and hearts of his loved ones.

A visitation to celebrate and honor Holden’s life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. A memorial service will be held privately.
