Herbert P Miller

Herbert P. Miller, 97, of Paradise Falls, Cresco, PA (Paradise Twp., Monroe County), died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in the residence of his son. He was the husband of the late Viola E. (Miller) Miller who died on April 15, 1982.

Born in Windsor Township, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late Owen K. and the late Emma F. (Heffner) Miller. He was a self-employed farmer for 23 years in the Kutztown Area. He worked in maintenance for 12 years at the Kutztown Folk Festival, Kutztown, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

He is survived by Sons, Lester C. Miller, Kutztown, Russell O. Miller, Blandon, The Rev. Richard A. Miller, Cresco, PA, Robert G. Miller, Kutztown, William A. Miller, Lynnport; Daughters, Jean E. (Miller) Riley, Homosassa, FL, Elizabeth (Miller) Weigle, Lenhartsville; 22 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren, 18 Great Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Lee H. Miller, November 2003.

Funeral Services are Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 10:30 AM from Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Dunkel’s Church Cemetery, Kutztown (Greenwich Township). Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of the church or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 906 Penn Avenue (Rear), Wyomissing, PA  19610. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
