Herbert L Spohn

Herbert L. Spohn, 84, of Richmond Township, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home where he resided since 2003.

Born in Kutztown, PA, he was a son of the late Elmer U. and Martha K. (Keiffer) Spohn. He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where he served as a councilman and former treasurer. He was a US Army and Pennsylvania National Guard Veteran. Mr. Spohn worked as a mechanic at Kutztown University 22 years until his retirement in 1988. He was also a bus driver for Kutztown Area School District.

He is survived by Son, Garren L. husband of Kelly C. (Schwartz) Spohn, Fleetwood; Sisters, Esta V. (Spohn) widow of Charles E. Focht, Kutztown and Elsie L. (Spohn) wife of Mark C. Luckenbill, Lyon Station. There are 2 Grandchildren, Calvin L. and Jenna N. Spohn. He was predeceased by a Daughter, Cindy L. (Spohn) late wife of Jeffrey L. Rothermel.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, December 21, 2010, 10:30 AM from Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, 340 Moselem Church Road, Kutztown. Interment with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
