Henry J Schnabel

Henry J. Schnabel, 85, of Kutztown, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the residence he shared with his sister, Dorothy W. Schnabel.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of late Henry M. and Beatrice M. (Cummings) Schnabel. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. Mr. Schnabel was first employed as a laborer at Kutztown Foundry, Kutztown, and then worked for many years as a custodian at Kutztown University, Kutztown, until his retirement in 2006.

He is survived by Sisters, Dorothy W. with whom he resided, Mary R. widow of Russell B. Walter, Pennsburg and Florence L. wife of Charles P. Moser, Kutztown; Brother, John T. husband of Loretta M. (Jones) Schnabel, Red Hill, PA.

Graveside Services are Thursday, August 19, 2010, in Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, at 10:00 AM. There is no viewing.

The family requests contributions be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
