Helen M. (Fox) Miller, 98, of Topton, formerly of Emmaus, died Friday, March 27, 2015 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Mark U. Miller, who died in 1992. Her first husband, James Meyers died in 1961.
Born in Maysville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Maron and Annabell (Braden) Fox. Mrs. Miller was a member of Grace Lutheran Congregation of The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was employed as a Registered Nurse by the former Allentown General Hospital, now Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, for 10 years. She also worked as a nurse at the former Montgomery Hospital and Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. Helen enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and traveling with her husband, Mark. They were members of Avion Camping Club. She also enjoyed making glass ornaments, quilting, and gardening as well as several other hobbies.
She is survived by Step-Son, Leslie M., husband of Bonnie L. (Schmick) Miller, Macungie; 2 Step-Grandchildren; and 4 Step Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Mark; first husband, James; a Step-Son, Ned U. Miller in 1990; a Sister, Mabel (Fox) Eluitt; and a Brother, Larry Fox.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, located on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, with Reverend Carl R. Schmoyer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norristown. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
