Helen M Adams

Helen M. Adams, 91, of Kutztown, died Friday, June 8, 2012 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township. She was the widow of John H. Adams, who died April 2, 2000.

Born in Topton, she was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Cora A. (Rauenzahn) Showalter. Mrs. Adams was a sewing machine operator for the former Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown for 20 years, the former Adidas Shoe Co., Kutztown for eight years and a seamstress at the Kutztown Manor for four years, retiring in 1990.

She is survived by Daughters, Barbara A. (Arnold) Heckman and Fietta J. (Arnold) Schaeffer, both of Kutztown; Brother, Edwin A. Showalter, Reading, PA; 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a Son, Dennis G. Arnold in 2009; a Grandson, David Schaeffer and Great Grandchildren, Christopher Hartman and Amanda Brown.

Graveside Services are Friday, June 15, 2012, at 9:30 AM in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions be made to John & Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center, 1240 South Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, PA 18105. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
