Helen A Wartzenluft

Helen A. (Emore) Wartzenluft, 87, of Heilman House, Topton, formerly of Kutztown, died, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, PA. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Wartzenluft, who died January 3, 2007.

Born in Greenwich Township, Berks Co., she was a daughter of the late Henry L. and Annie K. (Frey) Emore. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was mother of the year for two years in the 1970’s for the Future Homemakers at Kutztown Area High School. She was a sewing machine operator for Deisher and Benham Knitting Mills, and also Wenton Shoe, all of Kutztown for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by Daughters, Gloria M. (Wartzenluft) Oswald, and Susan J. (Wartzenluft) Luckenbill, both of Topton, Bettie A. (Wartzenluft) wife of James C. Hirko, Jr., Mohrsville; Sons, Larry F., husband of Dianna L. (Oswald) Wartzenluft, Kutztown, and Willard L., husband of Rayann R. (Frantz) Wartzenluft, Fogelsville; a Sister, Katie M. Emore, Topton; Brother, William H. Emore, Wescosville. There are also 7 Grandchildren, Jennifer, Denise, Jessica, Christopher, Eric, Daniel, and Michael, and 6 Great Grandchildren, Tyler, Dakota, Kyle, Keegan, Patrick and Nathan. She was pre-deceased by a Daughter, Tina L. Wartzenluft in 1959 and a Daughter Linda M. Wartzenluft in 1989; a Brother, Herbert I. Emore, and a Sister, Mabel J. (Emore) Kline.

Funeral Services are Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
