Helen A. Haydt, 96, of Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. Born in Upper Macungie Township, Helen was a daughter of the late Norman E. and Lillie B. (Maitland) Haydt.
Helen was employed by the former Wenton Shoe and Adidas Shoe Companies, the former Kutztown Wallet Factory, all of Kutztown and the former Russell Helms Luncheonette. She was a faithful member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, and was a longtime member of the former Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Helen enjoyed being outside, especially at her home working in her flowerbeds and keeping her yard pristine.
Helen is survived by her two nieces and three nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Elsie (Haydt) Pfeifly, Ella M. (Haydt) Reed and Marlene A. (Haydt) Clouden; brother, Willard H. Haydt; and nephew, Donald Haydt.
A funeral service to celebrate and honor Helen's life will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with her Pastor, The Reverend Kim L. Adamson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The family requests that all attendees please wear their masks and maintain social distancing.
