Mr. Harvey Z. Martin

Harvey Z. Martin, 79, of Richland, Lebanon County, PA, formerly of Fleetwood and Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 12, 2022 in Richland Christian Home. He was the widower of Orpha K. (Musser) Martin, who died August 9, 2013 and whom he married November 16, 1963.

Born in Lancaster on April 13, 1943, Harvey was a son of the late Harvey W. and Mary Ann (Zimmerman) Martin. He was a Farmer from 1972 until 2006 and then worked for Pennaco Excavating, Inc., Fleetwood until his retirement. Harvey was a member of Walnuttown Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Harvey is survived by his six daughters, Susan M. (Martin), wife of David L. Hoover, Charles City, IA, Mary Ann (Martin), wife of Kenneth Horst, Goshen IN, Edith M. (Martin), wife of Allen Wenger, Manheim. PA, Sharon M. (Martin), wife of Keith Martin, Greenwood, WI, Jean M. (Martin), wife of Curtis Garman, Manheim, PA, and Jane M. (Martin), wife of Gerald Martin, Elliottsburg, PA; seven sons, Ernie M., husband of Louetta (Snyder) Martin, Fleetwood, Marvin M., husband of Ruth (Leinbach) Martin, Shoemakersville, Harvey M., husband of Marlene (Zimmerman) Martin, Fleetwood, Cleon M., husband of Martha (Hoover) Martin, Beaver Springs, PA, Clifford M., husband of Charlene (Zimmerman) Martin, Mohrsville, Arthur M., husband of Rosene (Weaver) Martin, Fleetwood and Matthew M., husband of Eileen Brubacker Martin, Carlisle, PA; 55 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by sisters; Anna Ruth (Martin), widow of Allen Burkholder, Newmanstown, PA, Nora Martin, Ephrata, PA, Frances (Martin), wife of Paul Shirk, Cayuga, NY, Arlene (Martin), wife of Elmer Burkholder, Abbotsford, WI, and Grace (Martin), wife of Richard Snyder, Port Byron, NY; brothers, Lester, husband of Evelyn (Ramer) Martin, New Paris, IN, Titus, husband of Alma (Martin) Martin, Denver, PA, Luke, husband of Mary (Rice) Martin, Fleetwood, PA, Ernest, husband of Louella (Brubacher) Martin, Fleetwood, PA, and Irvin, husband of Thelma (Snyder) Martin, Kutztown, PA; sister-in-law, Mattie (Burkholder) Martin, widow of predeceased brother, Wilmer Martin, Senaca Falls, NY; brother-in-law, Melvin Hoover, widower of predeceased sister, Mary Ella (Martin) Hoover, Stevens, PA; brother-in-law, Linford Snyder, husband of Audrey (Zimmerman) Snyder and widower of predeceased sister, Vera (Martin) Snyder, Lebanon, PA; brother-in-law, James Feeg, widower of predeceased sister, Helen (Martin) Feeg, Robesonia, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Walnuttown Mennonite Church, 1219 Pleasant Hill Road, Fleetwood. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, August 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the church.
