Harry J Werner

Harry J. “Hap” Werner, Sr., 76, of Kutztown, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 6:45 a.m. in Chestnut Knoll Senior Living Community, Boyertown. He was the husband of Emilie H. (Gericke) Werner. They were married August 3, 1957.

Born in Fleetwood, he was a son of the late Stanley J., Sr., and Emma S. (Beck) Werner.  Mr. Werner was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. Harry worked as a Supervisor in the Roller Mill for Carpenter Technologies, Reading, for over 36 years until his retirement in 2002. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Chestnut Knoll, and Chestnut Knoll at Home, for the wonderful care and support received for Mr. & Mrs. Werner.

He is survived by his Wife of 58 years, Emilie, also a resident of Chestnut Knoll Senior Living Community, Boyertown; Daughter, Robin A. (Werner), wife of Dale G. Siegfried, Mertztown; Son, Harry J., Jr., husband of Lisa K. (Stoudt) Werner, Myrtle Beach, SC. Other survivors include a Sister, Mary Lou (Werner), wife of Gene E. Bossler, Blandon; 3 Grandchildren, Jennifer A. (Dietrich), wife of Blane Musser; Amanda E. Werner, and April M. Werner; and 3 Great Grandchildren, Madison P. Musser, Andrew J. Musser and Bradley A. Musser.  He was predeceased by his Parents; a Grandson, Timothy G. Dietrich, Jr., a Sister, Betty J. (Werner) Oswald, and a brother, Stanley J. Werner.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township. There is no public viewing.
