Harold G. "Butch" Hilbert, 77, of Topton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21, 2021 in his residence.
Born in Topton, Harold was a son of the late Lester G. and Alice M. (Hertzog) Hilbert. He was a graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, and honorably and faithfully served in the United States Navy.
Butch was a hard working man and enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies over the years included playing billiards, he was an avid bowler, playing horseshoes and cards. Butch enjoyed being at home and watching TV from his recliner. Butch was honest, generous, and a dedicated family man.
He is survived by his two daughters, Vicki R. (Hilbert), wife of Collin J. Kirkpatrick, Andreas, PA, and Amy J. Hilbert, Slatington, PA; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Kirkpatrick, Orion Kirkpatrick, Troy Blessing and Carissa (Blessing) Koopman.
Harold is also survived by his siblings, Melvin R. Hilbert, Stevens, PA, Clarence C. Hilbert, husband of Pat (Boyer), Macungie, PA, Florabelle C. (Hilbert) Christman, Reading, PA, Fern E. (Hilbert) Readinger, Oley, PA, Shirley J. (Hilbert) Ream, Easton, PA, Marlene R. (Hilbert), wife of Nicholas Diachynsky, Barto, PA, and Patricia A. (Hilbert) Roth, Fleetwood, PA. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Roxie (Geisinger), widow of Lester C. Hilbert, Kutztown, PA.
Along with his parents, Harold was predeceased by his siblings, Carrie E. (Hilbert) Rohrbach, Edna M. (Hilbert) Rohrbach, Gladys P. (Hilbert) Grim, Joyce A. (Hilbert) Eisenhard, Lester C. Hilbert, Helen P. (Hilbert) Kunkelman, and Betty M. (Hilbert) Matthew.
Funeral Services for Butch and Burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, will be held privately by his family.
