Mr. Harold Charles Kline

February 15, 1945 — December 3, 2022

Harold Charles Kline, 77, of Macungie (Longswamp Township), passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in his residence. Born in the Village of Harlem, Hereford Township, Harold was a son of the late Herbert H. and Arlene V. (Drey) Kline, and attended St. Peter’s Union Church, Macungie.

Harold honorably and faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart Metal of Honor recipient. He was employed as a truck driver at Trexler-Haines Gas, Inc., Great American Knitting Mills, Bechtelsville, and most recently, as a dyeing department at Bally Ribbon Mills, where he retired.

Harold was a proud member of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton, where he enjoyed golfing in their annual tournaments, Mertztown Rod and Gun Club, Alburtis Rod and Gun Club and Lyons Fire Company. Along with golfing, Harold enjoyed taking care of his yard and gardening. He loved to give away what he grew to others.

He will be missed by his siblings, Janet “Jeanette” (Kline) Kurtz, Macungie, Verna (Kline) Moser), Red Hill, Elaine (Kline) Kennedy, Macungie, Gary Kline, Macungie and Bonnie (Kline) Le, Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Along with his parents, Harold was predeceased by his two brothers, Donald Kline and Raymond Kline.

A graveside military service for Harold will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at The Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion’s Garden of Honor, 133 Centre Avenue, Topton, PA, where honors will be rendered by their Honor Guard.
