Grace I. Kleinknecht, 92, formerly of Lenhartsville and The Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, where she has resided since February 2, 2001, died Sunday, August 7, 2005, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the wife of the late Christian Kleinknecht who died on December 9, 1968.
Born in Greenwich Township, Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of late Edgar S. and the late Katie P. (Leiby) Dietrich. She operated a produce stand at the former Hyde Villa Farmers Market, Reading, for 10 years; and she was employed at J. C. Gilardone, Virginville, for 15 years. She was the secretary of the Senior Citizens Group in Virginville and Kempton for 10 years. She was a member of Frieden’s UCC Church, Lenhartsville, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and choir member for many years.
She is survived by Son, Glenn I. Dietrich, Kutztown; Step Sons, Robert Kleinknecht, Mohrsville, William Kleinknecht, Wilmington, DE; Brothers, Henry W. Dietrich, Lenhartsville, Elton N. Dietrich, Kutztown; 2 Grandchildren, 1 Step Granddaughter, 1 Great Granddaughter, 2 Step Great Grandsons.
Funeral Services are Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Frieden’s Church Cemetery, Lenhartsville. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
The family requests contributions to the Freiden’s UCC Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 211, Lenhartsville, PA 19534. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
