Grace C. Haskell, 93, formerly of Price Drive, Topton, died Friday, March 31, 2006, in Henry Health Care Center of The Lutheran Home at Topton (Longswamp Twp.). She was the wife of the late Ellery B. Haskell, who died September 1, 2002.
Born in Wilkensburg, Allegheny County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Hulda B. (McQuiston) Campbell. She was employed as a French teacher at Prospect Park High School, Prospect Park, PA for seven years; after that she taught elementary school in the Reading School District from 1950 until her retirement in 1970. She received a B.A. in education from University of Pennsylvania; also received her M.A. in Education from University of Pennsylvania. She was a member of Church Women United, Reading; President of Women’s Organization of Albright College, Reading from 1950-1955; Past President ELCA Women’s Association of Grace Lutheran Church, Topton. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Reading and an associate member of Grace Lutheran Church, Topton.
He is survived by Son, Richard C. Haskell, Claremont, Calif.; Daughter, Helen H. (Haskell) Bosart, Schenectady, NY; Sister, Helen C. (Campbell) Brooks, a resident of Luther Haven, Topton (Longswamp Twp.); 1 Grandson, 3 Step Granddaughters, 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
Memorial Services are Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 3:00 PM from Grace Lutheran Church, on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton (Longswamp Twp.). Interment is private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
