Mrs. Gloria F. Romig

Gloria F. (Guinther) Romig, 89, of Mertztown, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Wayne W. Romig who died April 30, 2006.

Born in the village of Freehall, Longswamp Township, Gloria was a daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Fenstermacher) Guinther. She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School and was a longtime member of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.

Gloria was employed as a seamstress at the former KATO Sportswear, Kutztown. She also was a homemaker who took great pride in her home and helped her husband and family of their dairy farm.

Gloria served as a past President of the Topton Area Senior Citizens group, loved to quilt and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Dwight W. Romig, Mertztown, and David W., husband of Debra A. (Smith) Romig, District Township; two grandsons, Kevin J. Romig and Nathan J. Romig; and four great-grandchildren, Lilly, Beau, Kelsey and Leah.

Services will be held privately by her family in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis.
