Glenroy P. Meck, 88, of Macungie, died Friday, February 22, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Florence E. (Kemp) Meck. They were married January 25, 1947.
Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Briden C., and Eula H. (Shoemaker) Meck. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. Mr. Meck was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was employed as a laborer at the former Macungie Foundry for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Macungie VFW and Macungie Fire Company No.1.
He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Alice J. (Meck), widow of Carl G. "Wimpy" Rahn, Kutztown, Luella M. (Meck), wife of Barry J. Faustner, Emmaus; Sons, Dennis J. Meck, Macungie, and Allen G., husband of Nancy H.(Sterner) Meck, Macungie; Sister, Pearl J. (Meck), widow of Franklin A. Trexler, Mertztown. There are also 3 Grandchildren, Melanie A. (Rahn) Chester, Paul E. Rahn, Anthony M. Woolley; and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment with military honors will follow in Solomon’s Cemetery, Macungie. Friends may call Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
