Mr. Glenn E. Dougherty

In Loving Memory of Glenn E. Dougherty, 94, of Kutztown, PA and formerly of Santee, CA, who passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. He was the widow of Helga (Becthold) Dougherty who died in 2001.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, PA, Glenn was a son of the late Charles M. and Carrie Louisa (Swoyer) Dougherty and attended Fleetwood Area High School. Glenn honorably and faithfully served his country in both The United States Army during the Korean War and The United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, with a total of 20 years of active duty. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Glenn was employed as a manager by GlenView Feed Co. in Lakeside, CA for many years until his retirement. After Glenn's retirement and the passing of his late wife Helga, Glenn decided to move back to his hometown community of Kutztown, PA. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed collecting stamps.

Glenn is survived by his children, Larry Dougherty, Dale Dougherty, Glenn Dougherty, Jr., Allen Tunin, Douglas Tunin, Gary Tunin, and their families. Along with his wife and parents, Glenn was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur M. Dougherty, Norman P. Dougherty, Pearl E. Dougherty and Luther H. Dougherty.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a viewing on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. A funeral service will take place the following week at El Camino Mortuary and Chapel with burial to follow alongside his wife in El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, CA.
