Glen W. Ebeling, 73, of Lenhartsville, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Karen L. (Buss) Ebeling. They were married February 14, 1997. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harry I. and Hazel G. (Gring) Ebeling. Glen honorably and faithfully served our country as a veteran of the United States Army.
Glen owned and operated Glen W. Ebeling Building & Remodeling, Kutztown, for over 35 years. Glen was a past president of Kutztown Jaycees; a charter member of Optimist Club of Kutztown; a member of Horace M. Kieffer Post 625 American Legion, Fleetwood; and Fleetwood Sportsmen's Association, Sullivan County.
Glen enjoyed civil war history and traveling to Gettysburg, enjoyed hunting and fishing; and spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
In addition to his wife of 23 years, Karen, Glen is survived by children: Kerry M., husband of Mary Ellen (Valley) Ebeling, Fleetwood; Jade H. (Meyer), wife of Col. Devin O. Licklider, U.S. Marine Corps., Fredericksburg, VA; Kai L. (Meyer), wife of Bruce H. Bortz, II, Mertztown. There are seven grandchildren: Kade C. Meyer, Keely S. Licklider, Kylie E. Ebeling, Cali M. Bortz, Victoria L. Ebeling, Ireland O. Licklider, and Cassi M. Bortz; There is a great granddaughter, Kaidyn L. Smith. Other survivors include a brother, Gregory Ebeling. In addition to his parents Glen was predeceased by a brother, Gary Ebeling.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
