Gladys M Mest

Gladys M. Mest, 83, a former resident of Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the residence of her daughter and granddaughter, with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of Earl R. Mest, who died March 9, 2005.

Born in Alburtis, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Albert F., and Florence (Kline) Miller. Mrs. Mest was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. She was a homemaker. Gladys loved cooking, gardening and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her Daughters, Shirley M. Mest, life partner of Phyllis A. Casner, Mertztown, Beverly C. (Mest), wife of Dennis A. Stufflet, Bechtelsville; Son, Randall E. Mest, Dover DE; Brothers, Wayne Miller, Richard Miller, Harry Miller, Russell Miller; Grandchildren, Shane Losh, Robin Funderburk, Caitlin Ruzenski, and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Sisters, Dorothy Weil and Edna Weil, and Brothers, Frederick Miller, Paul Miller, Robert Miller, and Allen Miller.

Funeral Services are Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment will follow in Huffs Church Union Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
