Mr. Giuseppe Licari

Giuseppe Licari, 76 of Blandon, formerly of Kutztown, Brooklyn, NY and Carini, Sicily, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Giuseppa Lo Duca Licari, who died on February 24, 2019. Born in Carini, Sicily, Giuseppe was a son of the late Salvatore and Concetta (Talluto) Licari.

He attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. He was the owner and operator of a septic system company in Sicily for many years. When he came to the United States, Giuseppe and his late wife moved to New York City where he worked in construction. He enjoyed everything about New York City and called it his second home. He also enjoyed gardening.

He also enjoyed being around his family’s restaurant, Mamma's Delight, where he enjoyed socialized with the customers.

Giuseppe is survived by his three children, Maria C. (Licari), wife of Vincenzo DiMaggio, Blandon, Salvatore, husband of Graziella (Vitale) Licari, Blandon, and Vincenza Licari, Hershey; seven grandchildren, Rosalie (DiMaggio), wife of Michael Sidari, Alexandra DiMaggio, Emily DiMaggio, Irene Licari, Giuseppe Licari, Pietro Fiorello and Valeria Fiorello; a great-grandson, Liam Vincent Sidari; and sisters, Giuseppa (Licari) Amato, and Anna (Licari) Ferranti, both of Carini, Sicily.

In addition to his wife and parents, Giuseppe was predeceased by a brother, Franco Licari.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA, with Rev. Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer, Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Hope Cemetery Mausoleum, Church Lane, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the church.
