Gertrude L Heiser

Gertrude L. Heiser, 88, of Main Street, Mertztown (Rockland Township), died Sunday, February 27, 2005, in Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, where she had been a resident since January 20, 2005. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Heiser who died on September 12, 1996.

Born in Macungie, Lehigh County, PA, she was a daughter of the late James R. and the late Sarah Ann (Shingler) Bauer. She was employed at the former Topton Seating Company, Topton, for 9 years during the 1950’s; at the former Orth Magnetics, Kutztown, for 7 years during the 1960’s; and, along with her husband she was the proprietor of the former Rustic Tavern, Kutztown, during the 1970’s. She was a member St. Peter’s UCC Church, Topton.

She is survived by Nephew, Donald Bauer, Mertztown. She was predeceased by a son, Laird G. Heiser, who died April 10, 1963.

Funeral Services are Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 10:30 AM from St. Peter’s UCC Church, 122 West Franklin Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
