Geraldine J Heffner

Geraldine J. (Green) Heffner, 71, of Maxatawny Township, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Jeremiah C. Heffner, whom she married April 23, 1960.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Mabel (Steigerwalt) Green. Geraldine was a member of the reformed congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny. She was a 1959 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Geraldine worked as a cashier for Bandit Truck Stop, New Smithville for 24 years, retiring in 2012.

She is survived by Husband; Daughters, Sheryl A. (Heffner), wife of Ray A. Wiltrout, Mertztown, Sue E. (Heffner), wife of Loyde A. Nomland, Mertztown; Son, Jarrod T., husband of Tracy L. (Ebeling) Heffner, Breinigsville; Mother-in-law, Anna V. (Angstadt) Heffner, Kutztown; Sisters, Betty Schrantz, Shillington, and Janice Heffner, Kissimmee, FL; Brother, Charles, husband of Kathryn (Smith) Green, Kutztown; Brother-in-law, Robert Heffner; Grandchildren, Alex Wiltrout, Jordan Geist, Lauren Wiltrout, Erica Geist, Sydney Heffner, Jacob Heffner, Emma Heffner and Benjamin Heffner. There are also 5 Step-Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by Sisters, Blanche Moyer, Doris Bortz, Arlene Heffner, and Marian Barlet, and Brothers, Allen, Lawrence, Lloyd, Erwin, Asher, and Valoris Green.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, March 15, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. A private funeral service for extended family will follow the calling hour. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
