Mrs. Geraldine F. Hertzog

Geraldine F. (Ziegler) Hertzog, 86, formerly of Topton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown, one day shy of her 87th birthday. She was the widow of Lee H. "Jock" Hertzog, who died July 14, 2017 and whom she married on August 16, 1958.

Born in Allentown, PA, Geraldine was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Bertha S. (Conrad) Ziegler. She was employed as a Clerk in the parts department at the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, for 37 years, until her retirement in 1992. Geraldine was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Topton, where she was a member of the church choir. She had a deep appreciation for music and was a chorus member of the former Brandywine Minstrels for many years and loved to clean. Above all, Geraldine adored her family, especially her grandsons Derek and Chad and great-grandson Aiden.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Pamela L. (Hertzog) Reinhard, companion of Dennis R. Stettler, Kutztown; two grandsons, Derek M., husband of Jaimie (Shipe) Reinhard, Oley, and Chad E., husband of Lauren (Spear) Reinhard, Lawrenceville, GA; a great-grandson, Aiden R. Reinhard; sisters, Sandra J. (Ziegler), wife of Dennis E. Seibert, Topton, Karen E. (Ziegler) Kemp, Topton, Donna D. (Ziegler) Herman, companion of Dennis G. Gillner, Mertztown; Connie S. (Ziegler), wife of Larry L. Geist, Bowers; brother, Terry N., husband of Elaine J. (Biery) Ziegler, Elizabethtown; and sister-in-law, Annette C. (George), widow of Predeceased brother, Thomas D. Ziegler, who died on August 27, 1995.

A memorial service to celebrate Geraldine's life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Pastor Crystal Angstadt officiating. Burial will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
