Gerald S Seidel

Gerald S. Seidel, 79, of Maxatawny Township, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Mildred M. (Mertz) Seidel. They were married April 20, 1963.

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late Walter J., Sr., and Myrtle L. (Bieber) Seidel. Mr. Seidel was a U.S. Army veteran. He along with his wife, were self employed farmers in Maxatawny Township for over 50 years.

He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Donna G. Seidel, at home, Brenda F. (Seidel), wife of Daniel G. Rice, Firth, Nebraska; Son, Troy S. Seidel, at home; Sister, Betty (Seidel) Faust, Breinigsville; Brothers, Irwin Seidel, Breinigsville, Walter J. Seidel, Jr., and Clair C. Seidel, both of Topton; 4 Grandchildren, Megan Hickey, Emily Rice, Samantha Henderson, Benjamin Rice; and one Great Granddaughter, Kimberly Henderson. He was predeceased by Sisters, Dorothy (Seidel) Masters and Sandra B. (Seidel) Schleicher; and a Brother, Arlan Seidel.

Memorial Services are Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
