Gerald M Fitzgerald

Gerald M. Fitzgerald, 73, of Maidencreek Township, died Monday, April 5, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the husband of Diana Ebeling-Fitzgerald. They were married on September 14, 2004.

Born in Astoria, NY he was a son of the late Gerald M. and Loretta (Dillon) Fitzgerald. Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Reading Catholic High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 1974 from Lehigh County Community College, Schnecksville. He was a US Navy veteran serving from 1956 to 1958. He was Manager of Systems and Programming for Kutztown University, Kutztown, retiring in 1999 after 31 years of service.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Sean M. Fitzgerald, Laureldale, Matthew P. widower of Claudia (Manwiller) Fitzgerald, Las Vegas, NV; Sister-in-law, Veronica Fitzgerald, Birdsboro; Stepson, Kerry husband of Mary Ellen (Valley) Ebeling, Fleetwood; Granddaughters, Kylie and Victoria Ebeling. He was predeceased by Sister, Nancy A. Fitzgerald and Brother, Thomas Fitzgerald.

Memorial Mass is Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church, 925 Centre Avenue, Reading. Inurnment at the convenience of the family with Military Honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church.
