Gerald A Geist

Gerald A. Geist, Sr., 69, of District Township , died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in his residence .

Born in District Township , he was a son of the late Homer H. and Clara M. (Shoemaker) Geist. Mr. Geist was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. He was a self employed carpenter and sub-contractor. He also was a coal truck delivery driver for the former Homer H. Geist & Sons, Alburtis. Gerald also was a former groundskeeper at Hunsicker's Grove, Mertztown. He was a member of Mertztown Rod and Gun Club .

He is survived by Children, Donna M. (Geist), wife of Dale H. Heffner, Mertztown, Gerald A., Jr., husband of Kathy L. (Helbert) Geist, Kutztown, William R., Sr., husband of Loretta (Geist) Geist, Alburtis, and Christopher J. Geist, Mertztown; Sister, Patricia A. (Geist) Geist, Alburtis; 7 Grandchildren, Michael A., Jeffrey S., and Madison T. Heffner, Codey A., Paige K., Luke R., and William R., Jr., Geist. He was predeceased by a Brother, LeRoy F. Geist in 1996 .

A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Graveside services and interment will follow at 11:15 AM in Huff's Church Union Cemetery, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis .
