George L. Morrow, 90, of Macungie, died Monday, December 22, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of June P. (Follweiler) Morrow, whom he married December 29, 1945.
Born in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Harry and Jean (Krause) Morrow. Mr. Morrow was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. He was a 1941 graduate of DeWitt-Clinton High School, Bronx, NY, and a 1943 graduate of The Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, receiving a degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Morrow worked as an electrical engineer at several major electronic companies throughout his career. He was a Freemason. After his retirement, George enjoyed playing golf and going fishing. He also was a hobbyist who had the love for electric trains, coins, stamps, and painting. George was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who was very private, but a family oriented person.
He is survived by Wife, June, of almost 69 years; Daughter, Jan (Morrow), wife of Edward Jackson, Salisbury, Mass; Granddaughter, Jennifer (Lee), wife of David DeSisto, Barrington, RI; Great Grandchildren, Christopher and Ariana DeSisto; Brother and Sister-in-laws, Robert and Jeanette Follweiler; Sister-in-law, Nancy, widow of Bruce Follweiler, both of Bethlehem; 2 nieces and two nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by a Brother, Vic Morrow .
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, with Reverend John W. Davies officiating. Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:00 AM in the church. Inurnment will be private.
