George H Reidenhour

George H. Reidenhour, 92, of Kutztown, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Mildred H. (Werley) Reidenhour, whom he married August 18, 1945 .

Born in Maxatawny Township , he was a son of the late Eugene and Rosa (Derr) Reidenhour. Mr. Reidenhour was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was employed as a crane operator by the former Kutztown Foundry for 42 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Reidenhour was a lifetime member of  the Berks County Firemen's Association; Kutztown, Virginville and Lyons Fire Companies; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 839, Kutztown; and the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club. George enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing cards. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan .

He is survived by Wife; Daughter, Barbara A. (Reidenhour) Freeby, fiancé of Larry D. Treichler, Mertztown; Sons, Gary L., husband of Lori A. (Delcamp) Reidenhour, and Dennis R., husband of Tracy L. (Kline) Reidenhour, both of Kutztown. He is also survived by a Brother, Walter A. Reidenhour, widower of Pauline M. (Werley) Reidenhour, Maxatawny; 5 Grandchildren,  Melissa, Michael, Marianne, Brandon, Brandi; 2 Step Grandchildren, Derek and Kyle; 5 Great Grandchildren, Mitchell, Lydia, Ellie, Katelyn, Miranda; and 3 Step Great Grandchildren, Mathew, C.J., and Emily. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and 3 sisters .

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend James R. Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown (Grimville). Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home .
