George Bruce Feld, 84, of Fleetwood, PA (formally of Los Angeles), passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 in Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown, PA, after a brave battle with diabetes. Born in Neosho, MO, he is survived by his partner, Lucy Flippin, 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and his sister.

George was a graduate of Columbia University and had a multifaceted career as a writer, critic and journalist. He contributed to various news outlets and blogs, including Film Journal International, Billboard, Drama-Logue, N.Y. Daily News, and Rotton Tomatoes. He is the co-author of The Givers and The Takers (Macmillan Publishing), Cleopatra in the Night and other poems (Fithian Press), and 7 plays published by Aran Press. He also taught English Literature at Sias International University, Henan Province, China.


George is survived by his children: Vanessa Zollar (Marty), of Spring Hill, FL; Noah Feld, of New Rochelle, NY; Theo Sakalis (Elias), of Tuckahoe, NY; Peter Feld (Michelle Johnson), of Brush Prairie, WA; and Linda Zablotsky, of Plano, TX; a sister: Theo Gund (Carmen Bradley), of Sun Valley, ID.
