Gene M Fisher

Gene M. Fisher, 74, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather died Thursday, February 12, 2009 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Wanner) Fisher. In January they celebrated their 56 th wedding anniversary.

Born in Leesport, PA, he was a son of the late Howard G. and Mabel S. (Seager) Fisher. He was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ, Fleetwood. He was employed in the Maintenance and Store Room Attendant at Allentown Cement Company, now Lehigh Cement for 46 years until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement he worked for Iris, Inc., Fleetwood, as a courier and general assistant for several years.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Robin L. (Fisher) wife of Dennis R. Fink, Blandon, Lisa S. (Fisher) wife of Charles L. George, Blandon; Sons, Eric G., Sr. husband of Michele (Fritchman) Fisher, Topton, and Michael J., husband of Tonya (Rhoads) Fisher, Blandon. There are also 9 Grandchildren, Michael D. Fink, Joel K., husband of Beth (Kerstetter) Fink, Jennifer L. (Fisher) wife of Randy Moyer, Amanda L. Fisher, Haley A. Fisher, Nathan C. George, Brianne M. George, Cody J. Fisher, Austin M. Fisher; 2 Step Grandchildren, Jessica Infield and Corey Dennis. In addition there are also 5 Great Grandchildren, Kinsey R. Fink, Kaylee E. Moyer, Brandon S. Moyer, Dylan E. Moyer and Tyler J. Fisher; and a Step Great Granddaughter, Addison J. Blank. Other survivors include a Brother, Howard G. Fisher, Sinking Spring and a Sister, Doris M. (Fisher) wife of Kenneth Showalter, Akron, Lancaster County. Mr. Fisher was predeceased by a Grandson, Eric G. Fisher, Jr. on April 18, 2003.

Funeral Services are Monday, February 16, 2009, at 2:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Saint Paul’s Union Cemetery, Richmond Township. Friends may call Sunday evening, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

The family requests contributions to Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ Church Memorial Fund, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
