G Betty Wolfe

G. Betty (Soverns) Wolfe, 97, of Kutztown, died Monday, November 16, 2015, in Kutztown Manor. She was the widow of Bill B. Wolfe who died in 1990.

Born in Dickerson Run, Fayette County, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Houston) Soverns. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Kutztown. Mrs. Wolfe earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from California State University, California, PA. She was the owner/teacher of First Presbyterian Church Preschool, Bethel Park, Alleghany County; prior to that, she was employed as a kindergarten teacher in both the Sharon School District and the Library School District.

She is survived by Sons; James B., husband of Anna Mae (Congdon) Wolfe, Vero Beach, FL, Lee J., husband of Linda (Gratton) Wolfe, Reading, PA, Bill B., widower of Tamara L. (Teslovich) Wolfe, Kutztown, PA, and Donald J., husband of Bernadette (Combs) Wolfe, Nashville, TN; Other survivors include a Sister, Nancy (Soverns) Nelson, Austintown, OH; There are 11 Grandchildren, Dean Wolfe, Cheryl (Wolfe) wife of John Sandwell, Robert husband of Kelly (Lehman) Wolfe, Bonnie (Wolfe) wife of Michael Katein, Daniel husband of Barbara (Frederick) Wolfe, Laura (Wolfe) wife of Sean Crouse, Tara Wolfe, Shelena (Wolfe) wife of Damian Thomas, Jeremiah Wolfe, Mariah Wolfe and Tanner Wolfe; 13 Great Grandchildren, Zachary Sandwell, Chloe Sandwell, Xander Wolfe, Nathan Wolfe, Madison Katein, Hannah Katein, Haydon Wolfe, Samantha Wolfe, Thomas Crouse, William Crouse, Sophia Crouse, Kailee Thomas and Whitney Thomas. Betty was predeceased by eight siblings, Annabell, Alverda, James, Bertha, Ruth, Frank, George, and Harry.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Adam P. Roberts officiating.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, 421 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
