Frederick A. Fegley, 81, of Maxatawny Township, died Monday, October 17, 2011. He was the husband of Jeanette L. (Anthony) Fegely. They were married January 13, 1952.

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late Alvin N. and Claire (Miller) Fegely. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny where he served as a past treasurer and council member over 27 years. He also served on the property committee for many years. He was a 1948 graduate of Northampton High School. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Fegely Electric, Maxatawny for over 40 years until his retirement. He then worked as a bus driver for Carl R. Bieber Tourways, Inc., Kutztown for four years. He was secretary of Monday-Niters Bowling League held at the Rose Bowl, Allentown for many years.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Sharon S. (Fegely) wife of Dale R. Bennecoff, Shoemakersville, Lori A. (Fegely) wife of Shane K. Alesi, Kutztown and Brenda L. (Fegely) wife of Harrison J. Snyder, Kutztown. Other survivors include a Brother, Carlton R. “C.R.” husband of Janet (Barto) Fegely, Maxatawny. There are 6 Grandchildren, Amy L. Bennecoff, Kevin M. Bennecoff, Christopher T. Alesi, Andrew H. Snyder, Zachary T. Alesi and Lauren E. Snyder. He was predeceased by a Brother, Richard Fegely.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Private inurnment with Military Honors provided by Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown.

The family requests contributions be made to Zion’s Union Church Memorial Fund, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
