Franklin H Hill

Franklin H. Hill, 82, formerly of Constitution Boulevard, Kutztown, PA died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Bern Township, Berks County, PA. He was the husband of the late Lina L. (Mest) Hill who died in 1996. They were married 44 years.

Born in Temple, PA he was a son of the late Howard S. and Anna (Shuck) Hill. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a truck driver for seven years for Norwalk Truck Lines, Reading; and, for 21 years at the former Halls Motor Transit, Kutztown, retiring in 1986. He was also a part time policeman for the Kutztown Police Department, Kutztown, for 18 years from 1955 to 1973. He was a volunteer truck driver for the Kutztown Fire Company for 18 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

He is survived by Son, Andrew L. husband of Karen M. (Kovach) Hill, Leesport; Daughter, Cynthia L. (Hill) wife of Joseph M. Brey, Mertztown; Grandchildren, Katrina L. Hill, Kelsey L. Brey, Nicholas F. Hill and Joshua S. Hill. He was predeceased by Brother, Nicholas C. Hill.

Funeral Services are Friday, February 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
