Franklin A. Trexler, 81, of Mertztown, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Pearl J. (Meck) Trexler. They were married February 14, 1990.
Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Harry A. and Erma (Derr) Trexler. Mr. Trexler was employed as a molder for Eastern Foundry, Boyertown, until his retirement.
He is survived by Wife, Sisters, May (Trexler) Behm, Ruth (Trexler) Kistler, Myrl (Trexler) Andersen, all of Topton; Brothers, Irwin “Buddy” husband of Glenna Swoyer, Topton, Carl Trexler, Allentown, Lowell husband of Shirley Trexler, Topton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Franklin was predeceased by Sisters, Fern Schade, Irene Stopp, Frances P. Miller, and Eleanor C. Reppert.
Memorial Services are Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown. There are no calling hours. Friends will be greeted by the family following the memorial service. Inurnment will be private in Topton Union Cemetery.
The family requests contributions be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 117, Mertztown, PA 19539. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
