Francis T Gerbino

Francis T. Gerbino, age 45, of 65-01B, 224th Street, Bayside NY, died Thursday, February 1, 2001 in Calvary Hospital, Queens NY.

Born in Queens NY, he was a son of Francesco and Marjory M. (Miller) Gerbino of Kutztown. He was a policeman with the New York City Police Department since 1985. Upon graduation from the New York City Police Academy, he was assigned to the 108th Precinct, Queens. He was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the 19th Precinct, Manhattan, in 1989, and the 20th Precinct, Manhattan, in 1990.

He was a recruit instructor, 1991-94, at the Police Academy, where he continued to teach after being assigned to the Early Intervention Unit in Manhattan in 1994. He was a 1985 graduate of C.W. Post College, Long Island NY. He was a member of the New York City Police Sergeants Benevolence Society and the Columbia Association in New York.

He is survived by his Parents; Brothers, Jeffrey A. Gerbino of Bernville MN, Joseph E. Gerbino of Ballston Lake NY and Mark J. Gerbino of Bethlehem PA.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Evangelical Assembly of God Church, Kutztown. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown PA.
