Francis J. “Finley” Reimert, 90, of Kutztown, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the widower of Belva J. (Beachel) Reimert who died April 23, 2000.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Lloyd E.A., Sr. and Marion (Kurtz) Reimert. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. Finley was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was employed as a maintenance worker by Firestone Tire and Rubber, Pottstown for many years. Prior to that, he was employed as a maintenance worker by Lehigh Valley Cement Company, Evansville. Finley was a former little league baseball coach in the Kutztown and Pottstown areas. He was an avid baseball fanatic and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by Daughter, Carol A. (Reimert) wife of Michael B. Wessner; Son, Gerald F. husband of Rosemarie (Longo) Reimert, both of Kutztown; Sisters, Mildred (Reimert) Herman, Allentown, Marion (Reimert) Tyson, Fleetwood, Mary (Reimert) Oliver, Rockmart, GA, brother, Stanley Reimert, Key West, FL. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Son, Rodney L. Reimert in 2007, Sister, Nancy Reimert, and Brother, Lloyd Reimert, Jr.
Funeral Services are Friday, November 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
