Frances M Scheid

Frances M. (Gennari) Scheid, 90, a resident at The Lutheran Home at Topton, formerly of Wayne, Delaware County, died Friday, January 15, 2016. She was the widow of William F. Scheid, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Pio and Maria (Bartoli) Gennari. Mrs. Scheid was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. She was a 1943 graduate of Olney High School, Philadelphia. Frances was employed as a Bookkeeper for many years, having worked at Villanova University School of Law, Cameo Parkway Records and Sears, Roebuck and Co.  She was a volunteer at Bryn Mawr Hospital Gift Shop and at her former parish, St. Katharine of Siena, Wayne, PA. Frances had a love for cats and supported the SPCA.

She is survived by Daughters, Lisa F. Scheid, wife of William R. Gow, Kutztown, and Pamela S. Scheid, Dana Point, CA; and 3 Grandchildren, Sarah M. Gow, William F. Gow and Joseph R. Gow. Frances was predeceased by 2 Sisters, Yolanda Gennari and Aurora (Gennari) Sabatino.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, with Reverend Msgr. Walter T. Scheaffer as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church.
