Frances M. “Fannie” (Wotring) Rohrbach, 92, a resident of Buehrle Center, on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in her residence. She was the widow of Willis H. Rohrbach, who died on November 9, 2000.
Born in Egypt, Lehigh County, Fannie was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Alice C. (Miller) Wotring. She was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ, Topton, where she served as the Treasurer of the Ladies Class in the mid 1970's. Frances was a 1942 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. She was employed by Brandywine Heights Area School District, Topton, working as a cafeteria worker at their High School from 1959 to 1969. Prior to that, she worked as an office worker at the former Long Valley Rug Mill, Mertztown, from 1942 to 1949. Fannie was a member of Ray A. Master Post #217, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Topton, where she served as Treasurer in the 1950's.
Frances is survived by a Son, Thomas D., husband of Kim Rohrbach and Grandson, Tony Rohrbach, both of Colorado Springs, CO, and a Sister, Madeline G. (Wotring), widow of Warren K. Lantz, Topton. She was predeceased by her Husband; Parents; and several Brothers and Sisters.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Topton Union Cemetery, 6 N. Callowhill Street, Topton, with Reverend Virginia M. Biniek officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in Deibert Hall, located on the 1st floor of the Breidegam Center, at The Lutheran Home at Topton, One South Home Avenue, Topton.
The family requests contributions be made in Fannie's memory to St. Peter's U.C.C. Memorial Fund, 122 West Franklin Street, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
