Frances L. (Griess) Leibensperger, 82, of Alburtis, died Friday, June 14, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a patient one day. She was the widow of Clarence J. Leibensperger, Jr. who died May 19, 2009.
Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Pearl N. (Kemp) Greiss. Mrs. Leibensperger was a member of the Reformed Congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. Mrs. Leibensperger retired from Air Products & Chemicals, Trexlertown, where she had worked twelve years in the company kitchen. Prior, she also worked at the former Keith Knitting Mill, Mertztown. Frances was a member of Kutztown Grange #1836, Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Pike Township Sportsmens Association.
She is survived by Daughter, Nancy F. (Leibensperger), widow of David H. Peters, Topton, fiancé of Walter R. Adams, Hamburg; Son, William J. Leibensperger, companion of Susan D. (Cooper) Gordon, Summit Station, Schuylkill County; Sister, Ruth M. (Greiss) wife of Leroy K. Leibensperger, Alburtis; Brothers, Earl, husband of Lorraine Greiss, Mertztown, and Melvin, husband of Norma Greiss, Alburtis. There are also 2 Grandchildren, Erin R. Gauker and Matthew D. Peters, and 4 Great Grandchildren, Emily R. Gauker and Garrett D. and Kaitlyn A. Peters and Dylan J. Gauker. She was predeceased by a Brother, Ernest Greiss.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Private inurnment will be in Huffs Union Church Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Huff’s Union Church Capital Improvement Fund, 540 Conrad Rd., Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
