Forrest W Hoffman

Forrest W. Hoffman, age 78, of Crystal Cave Road, Kutztown PA, died Saturday, November 2, 2002 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading PA. He was the husband of Bertha M. (Wessner) Hoffman. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past June.

Born in Allen Township PA, he was the son of the late Claude T. and Jennie I. (Hunsicker) Hoffman. He was a Repair Technician for Moyer Plumbing & Heating Co., Kutztown for over 40 years before retiring in March of 1988. Prior to that he was a farmer on his father's farm in Greenwich Township For 10 years. He was a Member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He was a Member of the Ontelaunee Car Club, Krumsville PA and the Antique Engine and Tractor Club, Kempton PA.

He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Ray A. Hoffman of Kutztown PA, Arlen W. Hoffman of Fleetwood PA and Donald L. Hoffman of Egypt PA; Daughter, Jeanette L. (Hoffman) Sylawa of Phoenixville PA; Sisters, Thelma M.. (Hoffman) German of Germansville PA, Aldine A. (Hoffman) Mantz of Laury's Station PA and Evelyn (Hoffman) Merkel of Lenhartsville PA; Brothers, Norman E. Hoffman of Kutztown PA, Harold C. Hoffman of Kutztown PA and David A. Hoffman of Kutztown PA; and 2 Granddaughters.

Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 6, 2002 in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Family and Friends may call 7:00 to 8:30 PM Tuesday and 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood PA.
